Corporate Gifting with Home Decor in India: What to Buy, What to Spend, What to Ask

Oct 12, 2026

Diwali falls on 8 November 2026. For a corporate buyer, the real deadline arrives earlier than the festival does: internal sign-off, a supplier quote, a sample check, packing and delivery to more than one city all have to fit in before it. The same chain repeats at year-end, at client milestones and when a new office or hotel property opens.

This guide is written for the person who has to make that decision. It covers what to spend, which home decor pieces suit clients and which suit teams, what goes wrong at volume, and what to ask a supplier before you pay. The Artment's corporate clients include ICICI Bank, Hilton Hotels and Unity Group, and every product below comes from its own catalogue.

Why decor at all? A box of sweets is finished within days. A clock, sculpture or tabletop piece can stay on a desk or shelf long after the festival, which keeps the gesture in view for longer.

How much should a corporate gift cost?

A practical planning range for home decor corporate gifts is ₹500 to ₹3,000 per person. Set a per-head limit before you look at a single product. The Artment's own decor page says compact showpieces and decorative accents in that range tend to work well for corporate gifting, and its catalogue falls into three planning bands.

Planning band

Typical use

Examples from the catalogue

Under ₹1,000

Team-wide gifts, vendor thank-yous

Dotted Delights Minimal Tea Cups, Set of 6 (₹499); Facet Clock (₹999)

₹1,000 to ₹2,000

Regular clients, channel partners

Nordic Minimalist Regal Lion (₹1,149); Chromatic Triad Globe Set (₹1,999)

₹2,000 to ₹3,000

Key accounts, senior leadership

Glossy Guardian elephant sculpture, Regular style (₹2,399)

Do the multiplication early. Take a company with 100 team members, 20 regular clients and 5 key accounts, buying one gift per person at the sale prices shown on the product pages:

That is an illustrative product subtotal at the displayed sale prices. It excludes shipping, packaging and customisation, and promotional prices can change, so the final amount depends on a written quotation. If the budget is tighter, start with gifts under ₹1,000, where the catalogue includes glassware, planters, vases and table accents.

One tax point matters before you fix the number for employees. Under the Income-tax Rules, 2026, notified in March 2026, the limit for gifts, vouchers and tokens from an employer to be valued at nil rises from ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 in aggregate per tax year, according to KPMG's tax flash alert on the new rules. Staying safely below the limit avoids any doubt at the cut-off. This is general information, not tax advice, so confirm the exact wording and how it applies to your company with your CA.

Which gifts work for clients, and which for your own team?

The recipient decides more than the price does. A client is judging what the gift says about your company. An employee is deciding whether it is something they will actually use.

For clients, choose a premium piece that looks considered on a reception desk or in a cabin. For teams, favour things people use every day. The table sets out a shortlist, with what each product page says and the practical catch to check before ordering.

What goes wrong when you order at volume?

Variants sell out unevenly. When this guide was checked, the Regal Lion's page showed Gold and Black available while White and Muddy Green were not, and the Glossy Guardian's Large and Set of 2 options were unavailable. If every recipient should get the same piece, confirm the quantity in one finish before you commit.

Glass needs careful packing. Tea cups and whiskey sets are more fragile than resin sculptures. Ask how breakage is handled when one order ships to several addresses.

Not every gift suits every workplace. The Crystal Frost Set (1 ice bucket, 6 whiskey glasses and an ice tong, ₹729) is a strong host gift, but whiskey glassware is not right for every recipient. Keep a non-alcohol alternative in the same budget band, and for mixed teams across regions, neutral modern pieces travel better than anything overtly religious.

Standard terms may not carry over. The product pages list 10-day free returns, cash on delivery, 2 to 3 business days from order to dispatch and then 2 to 7 working days from dispatch to delivery. Those are the terms for standard orders, so confirm whether a bulk order follows the same ones and when it will actually arrive.

What if the gift is for a space, not a person?

Reception desks, lobbies, guest rooms and new branches call for the same thinking at a larger scale. Compact tabletop pieces, clocks and sculptures work well here, and the decor collection's compact showpieces and table accents are a practical starting shortlist. For fit-out quantities, the supplier questions below matter even more, because one wrong batch affects the whole room.

What should you ask a supplier before a bulk order?

With bulk corporate gifts in India, the product is only half the decision. The other half is whether the supplier can deliver the same thing, to every address, by your date. Put these questions in writing:

  • Is stock confirmed for my full quantity, in a single colour or finish?
  • Can I see a sample before I commit?
  • What customisation is possible (logo, name card, packaging), and from what minimum quantity?
  • What is the lead time to my date, including dispatch?
  • Can you deliver to several cities, and how is tracking shared?
  • Can two or three pieces be packed together as a hamper?
  • Will you issue a GST invoice in my company's name?
  • What happens if items arrive damaged?
  • What are the payment terms?

A supplier who answers these clearly is easier to trust than one who simply quotes the lowest price. For The Artment's own answers on volume pricing and the catalogue, The Artment's bulk order team takes requests through its B2B page, which offers a WhatsApp chat and an enquiry form.

How do you brief a supplier in one message?

Send the same brief to every supplier on your shortlist so the quotes are comparable. A workable template:

Occasion and date: (for example Diwali or year-end) and the date gifts must be in hand

Quantity: total, and how many per city

Budget per gift: a range, and whether delivery is included

Recipients: clients, employees or both

Preferences: colours to use or avoid, no alcohol-related items, no religious motifs

Branding: logo, name card or none

Invoice details: company name and GSTIN

FAQs

For home decor, ₹500 to ₹3,000 per gift is a practical planning range. A workable split is under ₹1,000 for whole teams, ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 for regular clients and ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 for key accounts, adjusted to company policy and the occasion. Add delivery and customisation to the total.

Yes, when they are neutral in style and easy to place. Compact showpieces, clocks and tabletop pieces suit most desks and shelves, and they last longer than perishable hampers. For large or multi-city orders, ask about packing for glass items and check that corded pieces suit every recipient.

As early as your approvals allow, because quotes, samples and multi-city delivery take longer than a single order. Standard product pages list 2 to 3 business days to dispatch plus 2 to 7 working days for delivery, but bulk timelines differ, so confirm yours in writing before committing.

It depends on the product and the supplier. Logo or name-card options often come with minimum quantities, so ask for the options, minimum order and timeline in writing before you finalise a shortlist. The Artment's bulk order team can confirm what applies to the pieces in this guide.

Under the Income-tax Rules, 2026, the aggregate limit for an employer's gifts, vouchers or tokens to be valued at nil is ₹15,000 per tax year, up from ₹5,000. Staying safely below it avoids doubt at the cut-off. Confirm the exact treatment with your CA, as this is general information only.
